A few of my personal favorites…

The projects I love the most are the ones that I am passionate about. Below are just a few samples of my work.

Celebrating the things you love brings joy!

2024 Avocado Festival

Poster Design Winner

The inspiration for my entry in this year's Avocado Festival poster contest was derived from my deep connection to avocados and my profound love for our cherished beach town. I wanted to ensure the avocado took center stage in the poster design. I am fortunate to have a very close friend who happens to be an avocado rancher, further deepening my admiration for this fruit. Additionally, my Labrador Derby's unwavering passion for avocados is unmatched, as he eagerly fetches them for us from the ranch whenever we visit (and eats quite a few as well). Our beachtown is one of the few remaining towns of its kind, it was my goal to capture this exceptional spirit and foster a strong sense of community within my poster design. This blend of personal connections and local pride served as the driving force behind my creation, which celebrates the avocado while encapsulating the beauty and essence of Carp.

2022 Avocado Festival

Poster Design Winner

The California Avocado Festival is one of the largest FREE festivals in California with over 60 music acts on THREE stages in Carpinteria, CA. Each year, they have a competition for poster design, and in 2022 my design was selected! I think the avocado looks a bit like a bottle opener, which seems appropriate since avocado beer is one of the stars of the event. As a local from Carpinteria, it was easy to create a design that captured everything I love about the event:

  • the music

  • zero waste

  • guacamole

  • avocado ice cream

  • avocado beer

I can’t wait to see the design on all the merchandise!

The new Carpinteria Community Library

On June 16, 2022, The Carpinteria Community Library hosted its grand opening celebration for the community. As a member of the Friends of the Library Board, I created this video to help shine a light on everyone that made it possible to open our own municipal library, now managed by the City of Carpinteria. The video also includes a timeline that shows the history of our little library, all the way back to November 8, 1910. The roots of our library are in our history, and we wanted to be sure it was documented for generations to come!

Meet Derby.

I’m originally from Kentucky, so my lab is named Derby! He wears a jockey on a saddle on Derby Day and loves the beach and the Carpinteria Bluffs! Of course, I had to make a video of my favorite pictures of him! I don’t think it’s possible to love a dog more!

Remembering my dad!

This was the most difficult video I have ever made, but it brings me comfort to have all these memories to share with others. Sharing this video with pictures of my father during his service brought a sense of comfort and connection as we honored his memory together, knowing he was present in spirit with all of us.

Dad’s 80th

One of the first videos I did was for my Dad’s 70th birthday party! He’s a funny man so I had a lot to work with! It was so much fun to see everyone huddled around the television laughing about all the memories. His 80th birthday video was even more fun!

Saying goodbye to loved ones is hard

…capturing all the great memories is priceless!
